Your friend seems to understand the basics. It takes time for someone to internalize newfound knowledge. Perhaps teach him how to buy some satoshis self-custody into a Lightning Network wallet and how to buy something with those satoshis...simply sending a zap to a NOSTR note or to your video on NOSTR might be a good starting point.
