Lightning Labs want the state to crack down on the Lightning Network with the money-transmission and KYC-hammer so they can get the first license to transfer money via Lightning and effectively own the network. They don't want to serve in heaven like the rest of us, they want to rule in hell. Hack 'em to bits before it's too late.

Lightning Labs Announces Stablecoins on Bitcoin Lightning Network Elizabeth Stark: “The stickiest users have been those looking for a stable store of value. In some cases, they’re using BTC. In other cases, they’re using stablecoins, and in some cases, it’s a combination of both.” https://bitcoinnews.com/lightning/lightning-labs-stablecoin-on-bitcoin/

You have outlined my nightmare better than I could with the vision of 'integrating [Tether and Trons] crypto dollars' onto bitcoin. I don't consider it a symbiosis with Bitcoin to mimic stablecoins through taproot assets and offer those as global currencies by asking governments of oversight. All provided by Tether and Tron of all projects! This is so far away from what I think Bitcoin is and should be, I don't even consider the 'Bitcoin is for enemies' argument anymore. Tron has a good enough network I suppose, nicely regulatable, what's wrong using it for this enterprise? The revolution eats its children, the old scammers will be cut down for a new generation when this Frankenstein goes online. But that's just my skeptic mindset..

If Lightning Labs doesn’t do it someone else will, so it’s probably not worth getting worked up over. Get worked up over who bends the knee and complies when the KYC hammer comes down.
