Double-zapped *again*.
I clicked the zap button, selected the amount and then zeus opened showing the invoice. I hit the big button, then it "fails" after 1m, but under the hood my node keeps trying. I was fooled by this and tried to zap again which also "failed". This resulted in two zaps.
The issue seems to be that zeus displays the payment as failed, but it's not.

Ideally Zeus should use a longer timeout than the RPC call and that in turn should have a longer timeout than the node.
Which backend are you using?
I can confirm that I experienced the same on a regular basis with CLN and a Tor-only node. Has drastically improved recently for some reason.
CLN - LNbits/lndhub - zeus
LNDHub doesn’t do a good job at conveying that a payment is in transit.
We recommend switching to a proper interface. ZEUS v0.9 now supports CLNRest and works great.
