An important part of freedom of speech is ignoring it.
For me, another big part is realizing that sometimes I'm the idiot and it's okay. I just have to be open to the possibility so I can correct it. It's a sense of freedom for me. The dangerous people are the ones who think they can't possibly ever be the idiot in the room. I think they have the least freedom as a result, whether they know it or not.
Freedom of association. You can't have freedom (of speech or otherwise) without it.
