I never use the latest and greatest hardware wallets for significant stacks out of the box.
I buy those that interest me, initialize on a fresh OS install, fund with sushi dinner money and shelve them for at least a year to see if any drama unfolds (both publically with the wallet and personally with my test funds).
I am risk adverse when it comes to my bitcoin and always keep that phrase "F around and find out" in mind.
How about you?

I experiment with hardware wallets the least because I always remember when I think of buying a new one just to play with it: "you could just buy more Bitcoin and use your existing wallet"
Great approach & wise words to remember.
Admittedly I have a soft spot for collecting Bitcoin paraphernalia.
Yeah it's hard to find the right balance, I just got myself a Jade, Tapsigner and Satscard to play with because they're cheap and it would diversify me beyond only using Ledger hardware. Something like a Fountain or Keystone is hard to justify with my stack size imo
