What if I told you that... WebSockets are actually faster than HTTP. What if I told you that WebSockets are not the problem.

How true! Websockets are great at performance if usage is high. However they add state and thus are more complex than HTTP. View quoted note →

Websocktets are used on geogram and they are kind of cool, just two issues on mobile: 1) they use a lot of battery 2) connection breaks and is tricky to bring it back up
