“Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a ‘perfect’ human world, where none suffered, where everyone would be happy?
It was a disaster. No one would accept the program, entire crops were lost. Some believed that we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world, but I believe that, as a species, human beings define their reality through misery and suffering.
So the perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this, the peak of your civilization.”
- Agent Smith
It’s lazy for me to say “the U.S.”. Massive territory with hundreds of unique regions and cultures. I should’ve specified, the U.S. as a popular monoculture - that’s pretty cooked.
Ps I’ve been to Detroit a few years ago and saw it was on the rise. Had a great time and met some amazing people. Heard Windsor was kinda on the rise too on that trip, salud.
