I'm fond of electrum, but blockstream green wallet (lightning added recently) has gotten good. I also like Samourai. Not a fan of bluewallet. Now don't kill me but for orange pilling onchain I normally use Coinbase wallet. Reason is as follows, most newbies eyes glaze over when they're told they have to write down the 24 words. And then they give up when they're told to input word 13, 1, 3....you get the idea. While coinbase wallet does have this it doesn't stop you from using the wallet if you don't. Backing itself up to icloud or gdrive. I do walk them through writing it down or do it (for the impatient or penless) for them so they understand the concept. Another reason is it provides them with a short address on the cb domain, yes I know Samourai has paynym but this is simpler. Then lastly while I show them how to receive and send btc, and spend on bitrefill, when it comes time to purchase I show them a few nonKYC ways (getting harder to do in the US), Coinbase exchange, and Cashapp. Why those last two? Coinbase is uber easy for noobs, relatively cheap, and provides educational resources that don't sound like a Linux installation manual that assumes it all just works (and often doesn't). Cashapp because most of the folk already have it and it let's them send receive to both on-chain and lightning. BTW for lightning onboarding I use breez wallet and lightsats.com I may change to Zeus after the alpha goes beta.
