Humans are moral agents with the capacity to choose discipline over comfort, delayed gratification over immediate pleasure, and perseverance over surrender, regardless of starting conditions. The “trap” is real in that sin has corrupted all institutions and we inherit unequal circumstances.
But the greater trap is the lie that circumstances determine destiny. Throughout history, people in far worse conditions have risen through character, sacrifice, and right choices. The path of least resistance is seductive precisely because it offers an external explanation that removes personal accountability.
It’s easier to blame systems than to wake up early, work unglamorous jobs, say no to distractions, and build slowly over years. Most people capable of escaping poverty choose comfort and excuses over the painful road of transformation.
