Looking very seriously at getting a visa to work in the US then applying for a green card. Much better economy, far higher salaries, way lower taxes, and you don't need ID to use Spotify or get arrested for memes.
Recent career boost means my current profession is very high in demand so there's routes to get expedited approval and salaries are $300k+.
I really have no idea why I should stay in the UK if I have the ability to get paid a lot more and taxed a lot less for my skills elsewhere.
No guns if I just have a work visa tho :(

Welcome. 🇬🇧. Just be careful about getting American citizenship. Americans can never escape US taxes, no matter where we go.
Very true. I'm not sure I'd become a full citizen but I am definitely thinking of becoming a resident. I do have friends and family in my home country after all.
Also just depends what happens in the future, lots of variables, but for now my plan is more to be an expat for a while then see how I feel once I settle in.
