Some left leaning politician had a "wall of shame" with news clippings of stories of Norwegians moving out of the country.
She fronted this openly.
Worst part is, the company tax in Norway is killing small/medium businesses, forcing them to sell out to foreign investors, because foreign businesses don't pay company tax to Norway.
That is sad. The ultra wealthy can relocate while real backbone of the country gets squeezed. Not surprising either.
Of course public announcements of this strategy accelerate the process.

Yes, I do think it have to get worse in Norway before it can get better.
We have the sovereign wealth fund, but I have been told all my life that we, I.e. the Norwegians, save this for a rainy day. Well, I think most Norwegians think it is raining a lot at the moment. Roads are bad, schools are being shut down, budgets are being slashed(public sector).
The government gets richer, everybody else gets poorer. We could have had free electricity for almost everyone in the country, but they sell it off shore for profit and our bills gets higher.
The Vikings needs to rise again. But I'm not hopeful. I have tried to convince my friends and family to prepare, some have, some have laughed. Lol. We will see what happens.
Rant over.
The viking spirit is not dead. I'm optimistic for Scandinavia and Europe in the long run, but in the short to medium term you are probably right.
People will not be faced with reality until it is truly uncomfortable.
