Within less than a month over half of #Knots users updated their nodes... perhaps their prophet should save their time and implement auto update if they give him such blind trust

I didn't.
I learned my lesson. I was auto updating core up until shitcoins arrived on the sound money protocol. As I move on to #knots, I'll make sure to take your advice and not auto update anymore. If its not broke, don't fix.
It sounds like you've been just dreaming about running #Core as there's no automatic update function. Moreover Core provides patch releases (most importantly including security fixes) for two previous versions and there's culture of running old versions for safety of the network. Compare it with pressure to update to get the latest filters. It's like asking for a bug to seriously harm bitcoin. For example imagine impact of the accidental LevelDB hardfork if more node runners had rushed to update.
Ugh, you’re one of those.
Indeed I have studied CS and in particular Computer Networks and Distributed Systems hence can make a competent judgment myself on what actually fights spam and minimizes its impact versus what brings more harm.
Careful about stating it publicly as your heard may baa you for not applying the new filters and not larping nicely in that hysterical whac-a-mole virtue signaling game
OK
Good for you buddy. Here is a zap, know go enjoy life.
Sorry not sorry but no receipt, such low value zaps are considered spam #satsAreTheFilter
Aww, I live rent free in your head now.
Nope, got pruned ;)
