The Russians have been offering a path to peace this entire time. A peace treaty was about to be signed in Istanbul and the Anglo-American Establishment sent Boris Johnson over to prevent it.

Not that the Russians have any reason to trust NATO and the West at all since Merkel came right out and admitted that the Minsk Agreements were only ever intended to buy time so that they could prepare Ukraine for it's role as a proxy.
