I hate, HATE how companies, even nieche ones, have forgotten where they and most of today's tech and innovation came from: A couple basement dwellers poking stuff and fucking around because it was interesting, accessible and they had ideas.
Now? If you want to buy the interesting stuff, you have to do so via B2B. Fucking idiots gating access and being surprised about no innovations. Brother. I am soooooo done with this.
I have spent the last weeks trying to get ahold of SOPHGON and Milk-V to grab a Pioneer board and some information due to sparse information. Fucking crickets. No reply. But they will HAPPILY repost and share all the community work on box64 and alike and use it to promote their hardware.
Dude I am livid. The AI bubble needs to burst and we need a serious rethink; if there are no longer enthusiasts and basement dwellers, then the small web will win, innovation will die, surveiliance will prevail. Because who'd stop it? Or have the means to?
