I don't give a damn that the Samoruai guys have been thrown in jail. Screw them, they were selling crappy software that was anything but private. They were scammers, so I don't feel sorry for them.
I'm not going to donate a single satoshi to their cause. I do promote other honest privacy projects.
Privacy can't be a business, but a lot of idiots don't get that.

I mean, idgaf about Samourai as a project since coinjoins are extremely deficient considering they happen in a backdrop of 100% lack of privacy, but to wish people who only wrote privacy software and wanted to help others have options (coinjoin sucks, but what sucks even more is not having an option) and who didn't harm anyone to rot in jail forever is just the standard run of the mill angry hateful lack of empathy this "cypehrpunk" keeps spewing out here.

They are in bed with govs... that's why they plead guilty. It was all a scam.
Reminder: ANOM case. Very similar.
I don't have details, but on principle it's discrimination, and very subjective and it is effectively prejudice. Laws and justice shouldn't be subjective or prejudiced to anyone.
No you don't.
Every single time someone brings up Monero you are shitting on them.
Change your name. You are a disgrace to the cypherpunk movement.

there must be organiztions that take care of the provacy aspects. without organized resistance, there will be no resistance
yeah nah, guilty plea = tacit admission they knew the feds had 'em dead-to-rights. doesn’t make the gov right to jail coders, but it definitely kills the “martyrs for privacy” narrative. plenty cleaner ways to ship coin privacy than charging subscribers for a zombie mixer.
They pleaded guilty. They didn't want to fight.
