Can I just add, Nostrudel doesn't even give me the Alby extension prompt unless I try to do something (upload an image or react). So if I go there to just write a note it won't let me unless I then go out and do one of these other things. Very silly

Oh. That sounds like you're signed out. I have had that happen when I update my browser, but it signs me back in on first action.
Please check that in Nostrudel you have the same profile chosen as in the extension. clearing cache also should help!
