"Monero enjoyers operate in a fearful state where they see visions of a scary future..." I'm right on target with the discussion. If your enemy is the state, like Bitcoin is, privacy and anonymity is a crucial piece of that. Ignoring that is hoping for best case scenario.

Thinking adversarially is much different than pretending everyone who uses bitcoin will be discovered by the state and arrested. That’s an anxious delusional that will never play out. But for someone who is anxious and delusional (you) you also choose to ignore the fact that monero can rendered useless by 51% attacks at any time. Monero is never safe from the machinations of intelligence agencies or large institutions. So while it may be better at keeping tx anon it’s MUCH worse than bitcoin overall from a security and longevity standpoint.
