unfortunately, probably a lot of that infrastructure is going to end up droned until it's no better than run down rural houses in a second world country, with drafts through it that make winter habitation difficult. i'm picturing people smashing holes in walls to put chimmneys in to keep them warm, and stuffing garbage in the cracks. like how i've been doing things in my current place of residence. yeah, 20th century cities are rapidly becoming obsolete. riots and running battles will finish the rest.
