You guys have made this argument completely irrelevant to the actual discussion. Why don't you make the same arguments with nostr relays that refuse to allow content to go completely unmoderated? They don't want some stuff on their computers, I don't want some stuff on mine.
The mempool exists unencrypted. Unconfirmed and confirmed transactions are not the same.

If people don’t like certain data in the mempool they can run knots or they can convince everyone to put the filters on
It’s just that they don’t like consensus so they want to impose
With nostr if you don’t like certain content you don’t relay but you don’t complain that others do
How exactly do you think a concensus is going to be formed exactly? Either through code now or through child porn later.
