When I download and install bitcoin knots from the official website (bitcoinknots.org), my Mac immediately warns me that there is a coinminer malware present within knots. Is it a false positive? Do you know something about it?

If it's normal, you'll encounter this with a lot of software in mac because they don't have Apple certificates. It's safe; just exclude it from quarantine and verify the download signature.

It is not OS X blocking the app but CleanMyMac that has a malware tool warning about a CoinMiner
