First you need a physical good or in person service to offer. So much developer worship here and not enough blue collar builder support. As a community I think we need to decide to engage with and especially zap that content more. After that, local meetups are the way. I don't do nostr at all for our small business because I don't want address tied to npub by any customers. Margins are small enough that shipping doesn't make much sense anyway. Now if only I could find a way to stop having schedule conflicts when my local meetup happens.

Great point. I may be starting one if I can’t find one. How do you all handle opsec and anonymity with meetups if you don’t mind me asking? I’m assuming different people do different things. Nym on nostr and meetups? I haven’t really ever navigated that and am figuring out what I want to do/how to do it. Because I see value in it for protecting your personal life and identity and family. No person is obligated to reveal everything about themselves. Privacy is intricately linked to freedom imo. But I also think when you talk about local economies and communities at small scale there is something to a handshake, a helping hand, a face to a name kind of thing. Any advice or thoughts on that?
It's up to the individual ultimately, but the biggest thing as a group is no pictures or video is permitted unless announced and allowing people to remove themselves or mask up.
