Never has epistemology been at the core of so many popular discussions, and it is a bit frustrating listening to brilliant people stumble around epistemological concepts that they haven't thought deeply about before or studied.
What is information? What is knowledge? What is truth? Can we have truth?
If you don't understand these things, it is hard to say or predict what LLMs can or will be able to do.
