Between home equity, 401(k), and credit card access i don't go so nuts on an emergency fund myself, though there's definitely some. Especially with the 401(k) largely allocated defensively. Can't withdraw from it without leaving my employer, but if shit hits the fan, hardship withdrawals exist.
Tradfi advisors shudder when they hear this but they're hardly relevant.
