Now that i finally run my own node my thoughts quickly went to also start home mining ⛏️
I want to get the full experience like it was in the early days, when mining was packaged together with bitcoin core software.
What would be a good device to start home mining? Energy prices are very high here, so i don’t plan to earn steady rewards as this would just result in losses. I would go for lottery mining with a good feeling of at least decentralizing the network 💪
Heard a lot good stuff about Bitaxe! Any bitaxe owners here? Can you recommend? Would you suggest Supra or Gamma for starters?

Take a Gamma with a noctura fan & put it on your desk!

Or Nerdaxe+

Sold out 😅
Oh boy, that’s expensive 😱
Then wait a bit ….
Braiins is a bit cheaper

Nice 💪
Heard the gamma maybe a little noisy … do you own both variants?
Cool, didn’t know about this 🙏
No have the nerdaxe super. Not noisy. Will order Nerdqaxe+ next month probably…
Checking @BTC Sessions regularly helps. He is publishing from time to time reviews about affordable miners 😜
No only gamma, super quiet
Nocturnal is a must have 😜
Gamma
Gamma is the GOAT
Swap from Core to Bitcoin Knots, install DATUM, install Core Lightning, setup BOLT12 payouts at ocean.xyz
I'd like to shill my 120V miner, but this is a Bitaxe use case all day.
Omg same AF
I'd suggest the Gamma but after installing the latest update it runs so hot that I have to leave it on the patio to keep it from overheating.
I already heard that the gamma needs more tinkering and is noisier than the supra. Do you have a nuctua fan installed?
Stock fan. Oddly, it ran fine for months until I updated it to 2.5.1
