My understanding: the basic difference is that Maple has encrypted server-side storage, so you can sign in from any device/browser and have the same experience. Venice only has client-side storage.

Thank you for the insight. With that said, if I'm looking for privacy, I'd take the client-side storage over the server-side storage.
You're adding maximum pain for no reason. I get it, local = more private as a rule of thumb, but everyone else is using a turbo engine cars and you insist on walking to town 20 miles a day for work, getting there late and earning less, when someone is offering you a bicycle with no stinky engine for a quarter of the extra money you'd get for using it. Everyone else is on the go, from phone to laptop and back, and you can only use yours during odd hours and if you wipe cookies, you lose it all so you keep the tracking cookies instead anyways.

BX3 - I appreciate your insights and post, albeit a little snotty. Regardless, as someone who worked in the tech field for decades, I understand your take... and the "latest and greatest" has been a mantra throughout the computer revolution. But, I believe that there will be people like me that will cautiously proceed forward with AI adoption. Technology cuts both ways... I can see the amazing positives that can be created with it. I can also see where this AI rip evolves, using similar arguments you've presented. And it can be dark. I have no doubt at some point in the future, parents will be pressured to get their children chipped in order to keep up with the Jones'... cuz it's for their "safety", "increased test scores", "ubi allowance", etc. I won't be participating in Neuralink's human-AI symbiosis, etc. as getting chipped in my opinion is a complete surrender to digital slavery. I'm sure there will be others on nostr that will do the same. Anyway, thanks again for the post. I will likely check out Maple and compare it to my Venice experience. Cheers

Thank you again for the intriguing question. In a perfect world, a free and digital collective of hive minded people sounds amazing. Unfortunately, the world isn't perfect, and I question whether this is possible without a gatekeeper at the top. But I do like the premise you present. I've been against the idea of human chipping since I first heard about it. And the way I understand it, every device on the internet has a unique identifying number (ip/mac address). Unfortunately, that sends "mark of the beast" alarm bells off for me. Human chipping also bring up images of Matrix human farms... yuck. I mean at one point do humans make the decision that their lives are better living a fake, but perfect digital reality? I know there are plenty that would do this in a second, today. In my mind, I'd rather bypass this dystopian hell and embrace the beautiful world God gave us... flaws and all. How about you?
