Entzauberung der Welt - Disenchantment
The more we know - the more we are convinced we will ultimately know - the less room there is for magic in the world. We tell our children stories about magic swords and enchanted rings and they grow up in a world where any such artifact is an arbitrarily reproducible arrangement of atoms.

This hits hard. My terminal social media consumption for over 2 decades has definitely killed all my joy to experience the world.
There are no surprises any more, you think you have already seen everything and you think that 90% of everything is just god awful stupidity and misery.
Raising my daughter is what pulled me out of that mindset. Seeing the world through her eyes, almost like having a second chance at being a child again, saved me.
I'm explaining the world to my daughter and ask myself where there is room left for wonder? The interactions with others maybe?
