I don’t think paying is a problem. Personally, I wouldn’t mind paying a monthly fee for a relay where the operator is known and transparent... people like you, JB, Vito, and others who don’t hide behind anonymity. I like knowing who I’m trusting with my data and who is actually running the service. To me, that doesn’t feel more centralized, it feels more credible and accountable. I also think many “normies” would feel the same way. There’s a level of comfort in transparency that anonymity doesn’t always provide, especially when it comes to trust and data storage. In today’s world, people often associate anonymity with suspicion rather than trust. So for me, visible identity builds confidence, not the other way around.
