GPUs running under constant load have less wear than ones that are constantly being fired on and off for gaming sessions. Also probably more likely to have been maintained properly Honestly I'd rather buy a used mining card than a gaming one
And do you have evidence to support this claim? It doesn’t make sense at all to me, there’s a reason why miners sell their GPUs at a way lower price than other used sales. It also doesn’t make sense that a GPU that would be running 24/7 on a high temperature would be better to buy used than a GPU that is only turned on for part of the day, and on a high temperature irregularly.
Constantly changing temperature causes materials to expand and contract over and over again leading to failures. It's called thermal cycling. You can Google it yourself if you want to know more. Constant loads are worse for fans but those are easy and cheap to replace
