Amethyst is notorious for this
its very common with nostr client, its definitively a problem that need to be addressed
Ah it might have been a video playng in loop on locked screen, but wtf does it not cache the video? cc @Vitor Pamplona
It seems all #nostrclients use a lot of cache. Add the fact that it is often slow, it will take a lot of work to scale.
Think it was a video in loop on locked screen. Using Amethyst for 1+ years, never hadsuch a huge spike in one day. Definitely room for improvement with some caching 😅
could be also some npub that put very large media like films of 1GB. Amethyst could have tried to fetch last media...
I disabled mobile internet for amethyst... it just consumes all i have within no time... definitely needs improvement....
