Being harshly reminded about why we Bitcoin today...
- Paying the Canadian exit tax on Bitcoin that I never converted to fiat
- Needing to convert said Bitcoin to fiat to pay said exit tax
- Getting charged 11€ customs tax on a 20€ book (my first copy)
- Not being able to pay customs because I don’t have a local bank account with the only payment method accepted by customs
- Trying to set up local bank account to pay the customs tax while dealing with the joys of fiat bureaucracy 🙏🏼
On the bright side, thank GOODNESS for Bitcoin.
The free market is already winning, we can see it here on Nostr.
