In the future, I think we give up our ability to manually drive cars on public roads. The safety & efficiency gains are abundant. The fight will be about who controls the AI drivers.
Imagine being denied a ride because you texted a funny meme about the government to a friend.
To be clear, I don't want to give up that ability but I think it's inevitable.

Hopefully, we’ll have some open-source privacy-focused ride options available when that time comes 
Sounds like someday you'll be rewarded for living in a place that gets heavy snowfall.
I agree. I think people will look back at history and think "wow what an insane time to be alive when over 1 million people die in car accidents annually."
