I think few people understand Lightning.
It is a complicated protocol yes, but it has so many advantages....
It is also true that it is not the definitive scaling protocol, it will surely end up being a liquidation layer since not everyone has the right to a lightning channel or you will have to accept the use of custodians, but right now it is a great protocol for your privacy.
Does it have theoretical attacks? Yes, but even channel probes are difficult and the more people use it the more difficult they are.
Other coins like monero have practical attacks.
