Anyone can try to steal my car with one of those wire hangers and an escargot fork. But no one will dare even if it's easy because they know it has 3 pedals with a stick thing that has lines and numbers on the knob. If they do manage, they better have gallons of oil on hand or they won't get very far.

A manual gear box is the best theft deterrent πŸ˜‚
Could arrange a one-week trade. He’s not that well trained though, will steal any food he can reach. Barks a lot, very shrill, demands to play fetch, etc. Will boss you around.

I always keep one car with a standard transmission in the stable. When you manually shift, you are part of the experience. Otherwise, your just along for the ride. Many manufacturers are no longer producing cars with a manual shift. With electrification, CVT transmissions, and autopilot, this will all but disappear from the retail market. At least racing will keep it alive. Aside from 4, 5 , and 6 speed on the floor, I haven't seen a three on the tree in over 30 years and those were 20 years old at the time.

Yeah they are crap, but theoretically you can go as fast in reverse as you can an drive. The 2013 Nissan's with CVT's frequently failed before reaching 100,000 miles.

Stick with lines and numbers on the knob. No one can drive that anymore πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
