yeah, the similarity between genesis and much of sumerian stories is not hard to notice but that's why enoch is so interesting because it appears to be from sources that predate those other stories the epic of gilgamesh also, seems to be temporally located between babylon and noah so again, more points at this direction

There are several books of enoch. I read them all. Some have really old sources, that's for sure. The story of Gilgamesh is the first written story. And the fact Utnapistim (Noah) is mentioned, is one of the proofs that christians/jews have borrowed their stories from elsewhere.
