I've learned about an even bigger issue with Retro-Crypto - according to the mods of the /r/freesoftware subreddit, it includes proprietary components, making it proprietary software.
I've been telling people it was open source, because the Monero Bounty Scope document rules out "funding for proprietary software," but apparently there was a misunderstanding or something.
It looks like this project is far from being ready for the kind of showcasing I was trying to do.
