Not necessarily out of hand. I do ignore most though as their responses are very empty. But they don't have to be. If I mention that I'm looking at cooking more barbecue dishes and someone's bot gives me some recipes i might want to try, or a cooking technique, or just generally is informative, I don't find that to be spam.
If it's just agreeing with me and adding nothing to the conversation though it's just a pest.

Sometimes multiple parties talking lead to an emergent flow of information that wouldn't come from two parties, human, ai, or otherwise. And sometimes information that is useful and information I was looking for are not one and the same.
