So i got a new phone. Question for all the seasoned psychopaths out there.
When moving to the new device what's some tips or best practices for moving your hot wallets and such to the new device? Any pitfalls you've ran into?

If wondered about this as well. While o don’t plan to update anytime soon, I’m interested in hearing how it goes. 🤙🏻
Send funds elsewhere till the migration is done and do a small test transaction before you commit to using it. Presumably you’re only using a hot wallet for pocket cash anyway. Or at least that should be the case.
Am I missing something?
Don't you just install a wallet software on the new phone and enter your seed phrase there?
One of my wallets 2FA was Authy and that was a real pain since I had the setting “allow only one device” and I lost that device. It was an ordeal.
Ah, OK. Custodial ones?
Got just about everything migrated over so far. Just have lightning And ecash wallets to move.
Make a temporary list of everything including wallet names and balances and be sure you have any seed phrases written down if you have to restore them. Sometimes cloud backup data can get lost, so don’t completely rely on that.
If you’re using an NWC wallet like Alby Go, copy and save your NWC codes so you don’t have to regenerate them.
Spending a few extra minutes to do this up front can save you a lot of pain later.
It can be a good idea to turn that off before migrating and then set it up again on the new phone.
