Impressive how many cheer for banning Georgescu...

What we see now is the exposure of fake democracy in Romania and the EU. This pseudo-democracy, lacks the real values it’s based on: the right to vote and be elected. When the people’s voice is ignored, we must stop participating in this sham. We who have discovered Bitcoin know that opting out is the only way to defeat this corrupt system. More may realize Bitcoin is not just a tool but a weapon. With nostr for free expression, we have the means to fight and become sovereign as individuals before being sovereign in a country. We must start with ourselves if we want change. #optout

I've stopped voting in 2019 then I've made one small exception at the locals in 2020 to give one last shot to people I knew since childhood. I came to the conclusion that people in politics are deeply corrupt and I opted out.

I completely agree, and I will quote something I wrote a while ago: Don't fall in love with politicians, they remain what they are. They are not an extension of you and never will be. Their primary focus is on power and control, and their agenda will never fully align with yours. I don’t know Georgescu well enough to give him my full endorsement, so I haven’t done that, nor would I do it for any other politician. For me, it was important that he overthrow the regime in Romania and continue with the EU. I have also opted out in various ways, not just with my vote.

Imo CG is controlled opposition. It's really hard for someone outside the Balkans to understand how's it possible. The fact that he was supported by Trump and Musk was only circumstantial. CG featured in Gojira's podcast like 2 weeks before round 1. He misquoted L. Blaga twice. It was then when I knew that he was just reciting a speech. Also, he's not promoting Christian values, he's just spouting new age bullshit. Nevertheless, the rest of the candidates are probably worse and much more stupid. His role was to propagate a certain category of buzz words that will come in handy over the next years for the establishment. My two sats.

Indeed, there is a probability that he is an exponent of the controlled opposition, I don't contradict you. Likewise, I know that Vance and Musk supported him circumstantially, they don't need CG but a break in the unity of the EU countries aligned with France and Germany. By leveraging Romania, then HU, SK and then maybe PL, they could have implemented the new US Perestroika in Europe. The Trump-effect would have started from RO, in a domino effect towards the heart of the EU. That plan didn’t succeed, and they’ve moved on. So far, the EU has won on their own turf against the USA. The real loser here is Romania, which will probably lose the protection of the USA (as much as it was until now, theoretical or not), will receive sanctions, will pay higher interest rates and will be downgraded in all relevant rankings. Exista o probabilitatea sa fie exponent al opozitiei controlate, nu te contrazic, si eu am suspiciunile mele :). La fel, stiu ca Vance si Musk l-au sustinut doar conjunctural, ei nu au nevoie de omul CG ci de o ruptura in unitatea tarilor UE aliniate Frantei si Germaniei. Cu ajutorul Romaniei, impreuna cu HU, SK si mai apoi poate PL, - USA ar fi putut implementa noua Perestroika in Europa. Efectul Trump ar fi pornit dinspre RO, in efect de domino spre inima UE. Nu s-a reusit, ei merg mai departe. Pana acum UE a castigat pe terenul lor in fata USA. Perdantul e RO, care probabil va pierde protectia USA (atat cat era ea pana acum, teoretica sau nu), va primi sanctiuni, va plati dobanzi mai mari si va fi degradata in toate rankingurile relevante.
