A stick of butter! Ya, you dont get hungry until dinner time! Thats crazy lmao. How do you consume this stick of butter? I may try this if my wife lets me.
I dissolve 1/3 of a stick into a large mug of coffee. I drink three of those every morning. I also add a tablespoon or two of half and half. That amounts to over 1000 calories to start my day with. As long as you consume no carbs your body will burn fat for fuel. As soon as you consume carbs your blood sugar spikes and ketosis stops.
Makes it very rich and creamy. Also eliminates almost entirely any heart burn/acid reflux from drinking an entire pot of coffee. The mug I use is about 16 ounces. A stick of butter is 900 calories. The half and half adds more. Yes it still tastes like coffee. If anything I'd say it really enhances the coffee taste.
Keep the butter in the fridge so it's hard and you can cut off a bunch of thin slices. Stir vigorously with a fork while you're pouring the hot coffee over it and it will dissolve very well. Otherwise you end up with a big greasy blob floating on the top of your coffee.
You don’t get hungry because of the fuel and the fact that only fat inspires the release of the hormone leptin, the source of satiety. I think maybe food marketers know this and the propaganda to eat low fat follows.
