Watched The Fountain (2006), directed by Darren Aronofsky. His third one. It’s a sci-fi movie about mortality and love. It’s interesting because there’s 3 stories happening at different times in history: spanish inquisition, current times and the future. Absolutely beautiful movie. The photography is amazing again. The plot is hazy at time. Enjoyed it still. The score was much better than the movie itself 7.5/10 #nodereviews

That’s true. It falls into more of the feely art house genre. Although it rides the line of being a more accessible drama because of the on the nose dialog. My fiancé’s 80 year old grand parents got the point of the movie but didn’t understand why it had to be presented in such a weird way. I’d love to re-edit the movie and trim a ton of dialog so you have to engage a bit more with the meaning.
