Democracy is closest to democracy probably only in Switzerland? And even there its not the best.

Every system is prone to weaknesses, some systems more than others.

True. But "disbelievers in democracy thinking the elite care if you don't vote" look exactly the same to me. Its like hearing an atheist say they don't believe in the power of prayer any more; but they do believe in the power of blasphemy.

Corruption. Transparency. Media. Judicial system. Laws created by corrupted legislative system that errode democracy. Executive system. Essentially the people : )) US is not a democracy. US is ruled by the money from corporations, AIPAC, Israel, blackmailing etc. Buying candidates is the norm in US. Democracy is a system of government in which political power is exercised directly by the people or through freely elected representatives. EU is not a democracy as well. EU polititians are bought by Soros and others from that circle. Whole countries government parties (ruling or not) cuck to that evil demon. Democracy system tries its best to divide powers but in most cases it fails.

In Australia you are not allowed to discuss things but you are required to vote. Legally enforced low information voters.
