My uncle was on the do not fly list. He worked as a petrochemical engineer for Chevron, had no criminal record, and was not a "terrorist." He was born in Egypt. Every now and then, the United States targets people based on their identity, but people always forget.

Hard to believe we don’t have a statute of limitations regarding retention of pervasive data collection for non-criminal activities. Long ago a noted difference between the USA and the USSR was here in the states, unless an action was deemed illegal—it was legal versus in the USSR, where unless an action was deemed LEGAL—it was illegal.
