What did you use before on eggs and popcorn? Neither of those 2 smoke my house up.

Regular butter. Consider also that my "house" is actually a small apartment and I never remember to use the hood vent. It doesn't take much to smoke my house up π I probably wouldn't have noticed that point otherwise.
Crazy. I use butter all the time and never have smoke. Too much heat maybe?
I see... Yeah, butter will smoke in the high heat for popcorn, I use coconut oil to pop the corn, then melt a 1/2 stick of butter slowly over the small burner on the stove in a metal measuring cup. Then when the popcorn is done drizzle and salt to taste... I use a deep cast iron pan, I think it's the chicken fryer one with a lid, with an occasional shake so the corn doesn't burn. 1 table spoon of coconut with 2/3 cup of kernels.
Cooking eggs medium heat, I mix coconut oil +butter in a fry pan when the butter starts to bubble I'll add eggs and cook on low
But the ghee sounds like something I need to try.
