Yes - I will continue to hope we right the ship. My fear is that we need the full effects of a Fourth Turning to get there. Meaning we may still have a scary and HARD PIVOT to the extreme left...possibly with UBI and "tax the rich" as huge selling points...before we come back to foundational civilizational values and proof of work.
Since I will be over 60 in 2028, I'm not looking forward to that extreme left ideology running the country. I have grandkids that will be teenagers/young adults during that period, and I feel for them (and their generation...and I place a lot of blame on the boomers who corrupted so much of our system and refused to relinquish the reins of power)!
