Yes it is. However, I disagree with Odysee owning the subscriptions. The issue is the end-user is separated from the protocol by Odysee's app acting as the middle man. Instead, I advocate creators interact with the protocol directly using the gateways and a wallet, and then fans can follow via RSS. We outlined this here:
