i tend to agree but also signal is great and has 100 million users
Signal can be switched off because it's a centralized service. There were proposals to decentralize however the devs (ie. Moxie Marlinspike) undermined this since long ago.
Also Marlinespike is known for shutting down services when they are needed most. DYOR!
