Bitcoin is a magic incantation corrupt politicians use to get idiots to support their corruption. Congrats to all the statist bitcoiners who cheered through another law allowing the state to take your bitcoin.

I keep reading that my state, Arizona enacted a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. But when I read what was actually passed I’m like hmmmm. 1. Bitcoin presumed abandoned if the holder doesn’t respond to communications within 3 years? 2. State seizes unclaimed Bitcoin after 3 Years? 3. Reserve will be formed from Staking and Airdrops revenue from seized Bitcoin? 4. Reserve Fund used for future appropriations? Most of this doesn’t even make sense. “Holders must deliver the abandoned Bitcoin to the State? 🤣 Should this be celebrated? Or is it a Loss normalizing state seizure of CrYpTo wrapped in a glorified headline? Furthermore, the other Bill which would have allowed Bitcoin Investment within State Pensions was vetoed.

Sounds like high time preference thinking to me. China opened trade with the west when they were on a silver standard and the west was on a gold standard. That difference in money hardness led to what Chinese history books call the Century of Humiliation. Do you want government to adopt first with a century of humiliation for the people or people first with a century of humiliation for governments? I know my answer. After all, governments held the monetary control for the last 100 years and the people have already had a century of humiliation.
