Discord is absolute garbage. I stopped using it in 2020, knowing the writing on the wall. Instead, I have Matrix (Nitro Chat being my homeserver of choice) and Nerimity (think a cross of features from Discord, Revolt and Guilded). Both of which are Free Software options.
