Just finished Frankenstein. It is probably one of my favorites. Victor Frankenstein is a fragile ponce whose every sensitivity is attended to by people in his orbit of privilege. He carelessly creates a monster who sees, with crystal clarity, the insouciance that carries Victor from one blameless act to the next. And the monster offers only judgement and no pity.
