Frustrating thought I want to share with @Sovereign Engineering meeting in #Madeira right now working on new freedom tech: When I started working on @npub1uuhs...f4yh I realized that it's almost impossible to give people one ressource where they can find all meetups etc. Every Bitcoin "directory" today is its own silo. That means newcomers and we as bitcoiners don't get a simple, unified path to: all Bitcoin meetups all Bitcoin conferences all Shops that accept Bitcoin (local + online) all Other useful resources Why does it have to be this way? I get the point some make (like @Svetski ) - that running such directories purely on Nostr could be "too slow." But what if Nostr was just the base layer where the raw data lives? Then: Each project/frontend can add its own cache/proxy, or some people could even index the data and even offer it via API (for free or paid) And most importantly: Apps like @Club Orange , @Satlantis: Social Events , @npub1864j...t2tq , and others would finally share the same pool of data So when someone adds a new meetup or Bitcoin-accepting shop, it shows up everywhere instead of just inside one app. I'm almost vibecoding it myself because this feels like one of the most needed resources to really strengthen shared efforts but for such a foundational base layer, I think it might be better if the real pros take the lead haha :D Feels like this should be doable. Maybe you folks gathered now can spark the solution?
